FAQ
Q.
Bladder Buddy prevents the urine bag from sliding down the
leg and so do some ankle attachment devices, why is Bladder
Buddy better?
A. The ankle mounting systems are sleeves that fit tightly
around the ankle and can reduce circulation and promote sweating.
The long tube extending from the catheter to the ankle must
be strapped to the leg somewhere to prevent pulling and the
long tube also restricts the flow of urine to the bag, causing
urine back up.
Q.
Does it require special custom briefs like some other devices?
A. No, it requires only standard boxer style undershorts.
Q.
What happens when the bag gets heavy?
A. The two hospital sheet clamps that hold it to your boxer
shorts have been tested holding 32 ounces of liquid for 72
hours without slipping.
Q.
Is it conspicuous to wear?
A. When worn on the inside of the leg and with casual fit
pants it is not detectable.
Q.
How do I empty it?
A. You simply lift your pant leg to expose the valve on the
bottom of your urine bag and empty it into a toilet bowl -
no unzipping or disrobing is required.
Q.
Will I need extra tubing and fittings?
A. No, the catheter is connected directly to the urine bag,
nothing more is required.
Q.
What if the bag location doesn't match the bottom of my boxer
shorts?
A. The beauty of the hospital sheet clamps is that where ever
they line up on your boxer shorts you can fold the material
and clamp them there.
